I continue to be astonished at the exhaustive level of customization we are able to build in to the database...making our constant reporting as specific as we need it to be. Our experience with AFN & Vigilus has been exceptional - from conducting the (very thorough) initial employee training sessions, to the rollout and transition of AFN to the ongoing support...absolutely first-rate. We have used AFN since the 90's, so long I don't remember when we started.
We don't take that kind of longevity lightly; it is not very often that software can be counted on through every major hardware and OS upgrades. During this time we have never lost a single piece of data due to software malfunction. "Stable" is a good word to use for AFN.
The UI is simple and intuitive, which is helpful for the less tech-savvy sales people that use the program. Our salespeople track customer calls, meetings and emails as well as "Opportunities".
We use BizMobile to bring AFN to our BlackBerries.
Service from Vigilus has also been outstanding.

We have owned this application since 2007. Since this is a database, it meets our company's need for providing an easy access of information. As we have become a national company, this information can be accessed at any location, which is great. ACT for Notes has become a valuable tool for our company, allowing us to keep all notes in the database rather than paper notes, helping the team to stay connected. We have a strong IS department at our company and so we have not experienced limitations to the program that could not be addressed.

We have been using ACT for Lotus Notes for many years now. We are a small to medium size manufacturer located in the midwest. Over the years we have evaluated many CRM applications but from a cost benefit persepective we have not found anything that comes close to ACT for Lotus Notes. We have multiple divisions using the software. We produce many mass mailings, track opportunities, issue weekly call reports and develop strategies using ACT. We have started using ACT on our BlackBerries with very good success as well. The support staff at Vigilus has been excellent and is a true pleasure to work with.

Vigilus is has been a great help to me in my business. I run an executive search firm and chose ACT! for Notes/Lotus Notes as the main database. It's security and adaptability is unparalleled.
Lotus Notes is a complex program. But once you learn it, it is fantastic. For me, it is a combination of a database and an enormous filing cabinet. I can store everything in it -- documents, spreadsheets, etc on my office computer and then log in remotely from another computer and all of my information is there. When I travel for business meetings, I do not need to take all of this with me.
Furthermore, I can highly recommend the folks at Vigulus. Whenever I have a problem, they are very attentive and get on it right away. In addition, they have been able to make some custom modifications for me that allow Act for Notes to work in an ideal way for my business. I can highly recommend them. This is a great group of people. If you have a problem, they walk you through it; if you need training, they can provide that as well.
If you want a fast database that is secure and that can do just about anything, I would recommend Act! for Notes and Vigilus.

I'm not a big fan of Lotus Notes but think that ACT! for Notes is great! ACT! for Notes provides great functionality to Notes, it is available whenever I login and wherever I login and it is always backed up on the Company's servers. Our group all share the same ACT! for Notes database and it's addition to our processes is invaluable.
If you have clients, customers, colleagues, friends and neighbors and you and your group need a place to keep their information then you need ACT! for Notes.
